Visits & Exchanges

Visits & Exchanges

This part of the Grundtvig programme provides an opportunity for staff working with adult learners to improve their practical skills and to gain a broader understanding of lifelong learning across Europe.

Grants are available to work shadow or attend a conference or seminar in another European country.

Key Information

  • The length of any work-related visit or exchange can vary depending on its purpose, but may not exceed 3 months.
  • Visits may be in one direction only or carried out as part of an exchange between organisations. Where appropriate, one grant may cover visits to several organisations - as long as these are in the same destination country.

For visits commencing before the 1 May 2012 (2011 Call):

  • Please note that the final deadline for the 2011 Call has now passed.

For visits commencing from the 1 May 2012 (2012 Call):

  • Visits can start from the 1 May and must start no later than the 30 April 2013.
  • There is a rolling deadline for applications.  You need to apply at least 12 weeks before the activity starts, and no later than the 14 December 2012.
