Grants are available to go on a work placement to an adult education organisation in another European country, where you will spend 12-45 weeks working as a 'Grundtvig Assistant'.

There is also an opportunity for organisations to host an assistant from overseas - but no funding for this.

Key Information

• The 2011 deadline for applications for an Assistantships grant has now passed. 
• The next deadline is 30 March 2012.
• Placements can last between 12 and 45 weeks.
• Grundtvig Assistants should be fully integrated into the host organisation.
• Grundtvig Assistants may, for example:
  • Help facilitate learning.
  • Support adults with special educational needs.
  • Provide information on their country.
  • Assist with language teaching.
  • Initiate, develop and assist with projects.
  • And more.......!
