Assistantships
Assistantships
Grundtvig Assistantships funding is open to anyone working or intending to work in adult education.
Grants are available to go on a work placement to an adult education organisation in another European country, where you will spend 12-45 weeks working as a 'Grundtvig Assistant'.
There is also an opportunity for organisations to host an assistant from overseas - but no funding for this.
Key Information
- The next deadline to apply for an Assistantships grant is 31 March 2010.
- Placements can last between 12 and 45 weeks.
- Grundtvig Assistants should be fully integrated into the host organisation.
- Grundtvig Assistants may, for example:
- Help facilitate learning.
- Support adults with special educational needs.
- Provide information on their country.
- Assist with language teaching.
- Initiate, develop and assist with projects.
- And more.......!
We shall be regularly updating lists on our website to record expressions of interest from individuals and organisations in other European countries:
- Organisations offering placements in other European countries
- Assistants from European countries seeking UK placements
Templates are available to download and send details to us if you wish – by clicking on the appropriate link on the right hand side of this page. However, if you are UK based please note that it will not be appropriate to include your details in the lists (as UK applicants need to undertake their placements in another European country). We shall forward your completed template to National Agencies in other countries – or you may wish to do so yourself: see Links page of our website for contact details.
